WHO IS PASTOR BOB?
MEET OUR PASTORAND HIS WIFE ... The Reverend Robert A. Kobler was installed as pastor at a special service on Sunday, June 23, 2002. Officiating at the installation was the Reverend James Linderman, President of the Texas District of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. A supper following the 4pm installation service gave the Congregation a chance to welcome Pastor Bob and his family to Nacogdoches and to the State of Texas.
Pastor Kobler grew up in Northern
Illinois and received his BA Degree from Dana College in Blair, NE in
1972. He attended the Luther Theological Seminary in St. Paul, MN,
graduating with an Masters of Divinity degree. He was ordained in 1976.
Pastor Kobler has served congregations at Trinity in Lanigan, Saskatchewan
and Faith in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He returned south of the border in 1991
to serve Immanuel in Swea City, Iowa. Pastor Kobler says his strong points
are in teaching and working with people.
Pastor Kobler’s wife, Sigrid, is an
elementary school teacher and home maker. They have four children—Robert
and Jonathan, who are graduates of Baylor University; and Sarah and
Joanna, who are graduates of Abilene Christian University.
